Meat Curry Recipes Main Page
Meat/Mutton 500 gms
Melam Meat Masala 5 tb. sp. (level)
Small Onions 6 nos
Ginger 1" piece (2 tsp)
Garlic 6 flakes
Cocunut milk/milk 2 cups
Oil 30 ml. (2 tb. sp)
Curry Leaves a few
Salt to taste
Lime half of one
Method of Preparation
Clean and cut the meat into small pieces. Chop ginger, garlic and half of the onions. Grate the cocunut and make two extractions of cocunut milk and keep aside.
Heat half of the oil, fry lightly the chopped ingredients with curry leaves. Make a paste of the masala powder with a little water and add to the fried ingredients and fry the masala well. Add meat, second extract of coconut milk, salt and cook till the meat is tender. Add first extract of coconut milk and limespace and bring to boil. If more hot taste is required, 2 or 3 green chillies can be added. Heat remaining oil chop the leftover onions and fry to light brown and pour over the meat curry.
