Palak Chicken Recipes Main Page
Chicken pieces 1 kg
Palak 1 tbs
Onions 1½ tbs
Tomatoes ¼ tsp
Ginger & Garlic ½ tsp
Curd 2 tbs
 
Masala to grind: ½ teaspoon Melam pepper powder, a pinch of Melam turmeric powder, ½ teaspoon Melam garam masala powder, 4 green chillies, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbs cashewnut powder.
To fry: 4 tbs butter
To garnish: 2 tbs thick cream
Method of Preparation

Wash and boil palak with a pinch of soda bicarbonate and 1 tsp butter. Cool and grind in a mixie. Heat butter, add chicken, ginger and garlic chopped. Cook till dry. Add the sliced onions and fry till golden. Add curd and paste of masala. Cook till oil comes up. Close till cooked. Add ground palak and a cup of water. Don't close. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Garnish with whipped cream and serve.
