Grind the ginger and garlic. Saute the onions in oil, add Melam chilli powder, Melam turmeric powder, then tomatoes and fry well till oil separates. Add the cleaned prawns and saute well. Add salt and cover cook the prawns. When the prawns are cooked, and the gravy as thick enough. Add the coriander leaves and remove from the fire. |
Boil the rice and drain. Add lime juice and ghee. Layer 3/4th of the rice in a greased dish. Spread the prepared prawns over the rice. Sprinkle Melam garam masala powder. Spread the remaining rice on top and bake for 20-25 minutes. Garnish with fried onions and nuts. Serve hot. |
