Melam would be the only business venture which began for the sole purpose of generating funds for charity. Melam advocates its Corporate Social Responsibilty through Melam Charities International. The main objective of the organization is to help and support poor and needy patients by providing medical treatment for their ailments. All patients who approaches are given treatment irrespective of caste, creed, religion or any kind of prejudice. It is made a point to ensure that whosoever approaches Melam Charities is given treatment, and eventually made self dependent in their health to the maximum extent possible.

Already 1.25 lakh patients have been treated through a network of 877 renowned hospitals across Kerala.

The major areas of operation for Melam Charities are

1.  Provide medical assistance (primary objective)

To provide treatment to poor and needy patients irrespective of their caste and creed to make them maximum self dependent on health grounds - what Jesus has done when he was in this world.

2.  Scholarship to children of dependents

To provide educational assistance to their children during the course of treatment.

3.  Provide food, clothing and housing

To provide food clothing and shelter to the family members of the dependent if we can, during the course of treatment.

4.  Conduct Medical camps

To conduct Medical Camps in different parts of Kerala.
